Wireless Speaker – Listen® LR-600 Speaker/Receiver Expands Wireless Audio Options

Listen Technologies Corporation is excited to offer the new LR-600 Wireless Speaker/Receiver.

The completely redesigned LR-600 opens up new markets and applications because it is completely wireless, said Russell Gentner, president of Listen. The new LR-600 can operate on AC power, an external 12VDC power supply, or internal batteries. We have literally removed the wires and set it free. He explains the LR-600 now can use eight internal AA alkaline or NiMH batteries and incorporates Listen SmartChargeTM for easy maintenance.

The new LR-600 incorporates Listen's advanced audio processing which provides 80dB signal-to-noise ratio. It also has a built-in 10 Watt power amplifier to drive the 2-channel speaker. Or double your audio coverage by adding a Listen Expansion Speaker.

The new Wireless Speaker/Receiver also adds a three-band equalizer and auxiliary audio in/out phono connectors. The internal antenna receives signal up to 915 meters away from the transmitter, or add an external antenna (such as the Listen Universal Antenna Kit) to increase your range and reliability.

Listen still incorporates its Look&Listen LCD Display on the rear of the unit, but improves the display by backlighting it for improved readability. Channel up, down, and seek are still on the rear of the unit with the LCD, but Listen has added volume up and down and channel up on the top of the unit for easy access. You can also electronically lock the unit's volume and channel selection to prevent tampering. Or for added convenience, you can program the unit to display only the channels you are using.

Listen has also added a convenient handle/mounting bracket that can be adjusted up to 360 degrees. This means it can be set on a table or mounted on a shelf, wall, or ceiling at any angle (hollow wall anchors and mounting screws are included). The LR-600 can also be placed on a microphone stand with the included 16mm nut. There is also a leatherette handle wrap, making it easy to carry for tours or between rooms.

We are really excited about this project, because of the endless applications for which it can be used, adds Gentner. Tours can start out in a facility, move to a bus, go outside, and come back. Convention facilities can use the LR-600 in smaller conference rooms. Schools can take them from classroom to classroom, moving soundfields as needed. Once a venue has an auditory assistance signal, the applications are endless.

Listen's new LR-600 still has 57 field tunable channels in 72MHz or 216MHz frequencies, making it compatible with most assistive listening systems. It also has an adjustable squelch which mutes the audio when there is no RF signal.
